Thanks to all of those who participated in our gathering on Friday, August 16, at Erieau. It proved to be our most popular outing of the summer. Photos from all of this year’s Walk-Abouts will be shown at an upcoming meeting.
Photo In Focus
Our featured photographer is Sherrie Johnson.
Sherrie is a former professional photographer who specialized in school photos, sports and weddings. Her main interest has been portraits, but she has recently become interested in Nature photography as well. A member of the Chatham Camera Club for the past two seasons, Sherrie has also started to participate in Club Competitions, achieving several high marks. You can see a brief sample of her work on our Photo In Focus page.

In Memory of Ken Cucksey
The Chatham Camera Club was saddened to learn of the passing of Ken Cucksey on July 25th 2013 at the age of 84. Ken was a former member of the Chatham Camera Club and an Award winning photographer including Photographic Society of America (PSA). Ken was also a guest speaker at the Camera Club as recent as 3 years ago. He will be remembered as a good friend, an excellent judge and superb in the art of photo critiqueing. Our Condolences goes out to all Ken’s Family.
Summer Walk-Abouts
OurJuly 21st Walk-About at The Bothwell Oil Museum and Wayne Chapman’s restored gas station / garage was a huge success. Those who participated found a large number of interesting things to photograph.
Our next outing will be held in Erieau on Friday, August 16th at 8 PM, when we will have multiple opportunities to take “Night Shots”. Members and guests are encouraged to join us. Details to follow.
Photo In Focus
Chuck Torrey is this month’s featured photographer for the Chatham Camera Club’s Photo In Focus. Chuck works in the aviation industry as a course developer and an Industrial Photographer. He is a frequent contributor to the CCC’s photo competitions and has built his own 1200 mm lens. His photographic interests include Nature, Scenic and of course Aviation photos. You can see a small sample of Chuck’s fine work in our Photo In Focus page.
June 25th Walkabout
Thanks to all of those who attended our June 25th photo scavenger hunt in Ridgetown. A good time was had by all. Stay tuned for details regarding July’s outing to the Bothwell Oil Museum and the Oakdale gas station.
