Thanks go out to Harry Arneill, Jim Pollock and Sheri Nydam for their excellent presentations on Harry’s Flowers, Jim’s Collection and Sheri’s visit to Washington DC. Everybody attending the meeting enjoyed them. Also Thanks to Carson Plant for his tips on Composition.
After several workshops this season, we have decided to change the format focusing on a more ‘hands-on’ approach. We will attempt to have the Monthly Main Meetings the 4th Tuesday every month geared towards presentations on travelogues, competition and the like scenarios with a more entertainment concept. At the work shops, we are going to set up several areas serving a smaller group of members at the time for printing, table tops, portrait photography, software use and photography advice etc. Be sure to bring Camera, Tripod and some object you might want to practice on. Please note that there will be some changes in the timing of submitting images to CCC and CAPA Competitions. Please see the Meeting Schedule for more details.

Meeting November 25/08
Many thanks go out to Carson for his very informative show on his trip this past summer to Newfoundland. The photographs were ‘par excellence’. Very exciting to see pictures of whales that close and people almost touch them. I can see why he wants to go out East again.
Also thank you to our CAPA rep. Herman for his excellent tutorial on how to photograph outside Christmas Lights. Just in time for the season.
October Main Meeting – October 28/08

Les updated us on the progress on the printing workshops and our new monitor calibrator and Fred updated us on the budget as well.

CCC New Meeting Facilities
Due to our greatly increased membership, our new meeting venue will from now on be at McNaughton Ave Elementary School Library. The facility is larger and is capable of being darkened for our projection requirements. We sincerely thank the nice people at Queen Elizabeth II School for having us the past years.
