Our members thoroughly enjoyed Margaret Chrysler’s travelogue – “Berlin to Rome”, in which we saw the highlights of her European trip.
 
50 entries from his month’s CCC Competition Theme: “Black and White”, were judged, with Margaret Manson’s iceberg shot receiving the top score of 23.
 
Our Print Manager, Les McCracken offered some critiquing on our print assignment, “Winter”, with Dave Noordhoff’s beautifully framed shot of Erieau In Winter receiving many favorable comments.

Workshop March 9th / 2010

Herman Geithoorn entertained and informed the rest of the club with an excellent slideshow on Close-up Photography that revealed some of his best tips and tricks for both indoor and outdoor macro work.

Dave Noordhoff offered a Canon tutorial to the more enlightened members of the club. Similar information for other brands may be on the horizon.

CAPA entries from across Canada for the “Altered Reality” theme were shown to the group.

February 23 / 2010

Lifetime Honorary Memberships were presented by President Paul Schmoldt to Margaret Chrysler, Les McCracken and Jean McCracken for their many years of faithful service. Congratulations to all.

The Club welcomed Deanna Ross, and Cathy Ross, representatives from The Chatham-Kent Senior Games, who enjoyed a slide show of their 2009 event prepared by Paul Schmoldt and Dennis Skipper.

The Club’s submissions for CAPA’s “Altered Reality” and “Three Of A Kind” categories were reviewed and entries for CAPA’s “Nature” and “Open” categories were judged.

Entries were reviewed and judged for the Club’s “Something Abandoned” competition, which included some wonderful work by several members.

33 printed portraits were brought in by Club members for display and were favorably critiqued by Print Manager Les McCracken.
