We at the CCC would like to give a GREAT BIG THANKS to Keith McLean for the use of his beautiful property. I am sure we will all agree the photos we took will be beautiful. We would also like to thank Martha Gillier and Patty Arsenault for all the arrangements including food and cooking, etc. GREAT JOB GIRLS!!! It was a good turnout this year about 40 or so people, dispite a little bit of rain we all had a great day! Thanks to everyone involved.
2nd Annual Summer BBQ
Chatham Camera Club members, family and friends are invited to our 2nd annual summer BBQ to be held at Keith McLean’s farm located just outside of Rondeau Park. Small pop-up or google map link.
We have been given 14 photographic books that we will be giving away at the BBQ. Several are hard cover “Ansel Adams” books. The person that donated them all to the Club paid $360. Free books, free food, great photo opportunities… what else could you ask for?

Bring: – your own lawn chair and a beverage refreshment.

This time in ‘Photo In Focus’ we are featuring Jean DeBruyn, Jean has been a longstanding loyal member of the Chatham Camera Club. Jean loves to take pictures whenever she gets the opportunity and has just made the switch to digital this year. Way to go Jean!! Check out some of her work at ‘Photo In Focus’.

Awards and Elections
On Tuesday, May 13th, 2008, the Chatham Camera Club held their Awards Night, where the winners of the Photo Competitions for 2007-2008 season were presented with Certificates honouring their achievements.
Norma West was presented with a Special Award of Appreciation for 50 Years of loyal and dedicated Service to the Club. Among the various positions she held included President of the Club, Secretary, as well as Social Convener. Thank You Norma for a job well done over the many years.
April Sansen received the ‘Most Improved Photographer’ Award.
In the ‘Advanced’ Division, 1st place went to Richard Armstrong, Paul Schmoldt was 2nd, and Les McCracken 3rd.
Margaret Chrysler received the ‘Best Photo’ Award in the Division.
The recipients in the ‘Intermediate’ Division were Harry Arneill 1st place winner, Jim Pollock 2nd, and Sheri Nydam 3rd.
‘Best Photo’ Award went to Doug Woodman.
As a result of his win Harry will move up to the ‘Advanced’ Division.
In the ‘Novice’ Division, 1st place went to Jackie Plank, 2nd to Martha Gillier, and 3rd to April Sansen.
April also received the Award for the ‘Best Photo’ in the Division.
Jackie will move up to the ‘Intermediate’ Division as a result of her win.

Photo In Focus – In Memoriam – April 29th 2008
Earl Reynolds was an active and valued member of the Chatham Camera Club until sadly passing away in early March 2008 at the young age of 70. We are at this time remembering him and featuring his talents in Photo In Focus. He will be greatly missed among our members.

The Chatham Camera Club is proud to announce that we were recently chosen by CanadianGeographic.ca to be the second group featured in their ‘PhotoClubs of Canada’ article. Congratulations go out to our members and executive for being recognized as outstanding talents and having a few of their photos published by CanadianGeographic.

This time in ‘Photo In Focus’ we are featuring Carson Plant.
Carson, a Club past President, is a multi talented and accomplished photographer.
He enjoys taking nature pictures, landscapes, sunsets/sunrises and fall colours.
